May 12 2013 -
U13 and older every Monday from 5pm-6pm - January 13th – March 3rd
U12 and under every Friday from 8pm-9pm – January 10th – March 14th
Goalkeeping, one of the most intense positions in all of sports, constant action, responsibility, heroism, and acrobatic saves all come to mind when you think about goalkeepers. The best in the world including the Fires own Sean Johnson will tell you it all comes down to training. Now Michigan Fire Juniors is going to offer you the chance to train like a champion.
MFJ and our Goalkeeping Coach Joe Brefczynski are proud to present our winter goalkeeper training program. The program by design will help our young keepers develop over time into more technically concise keepers. Enabling them to make decisions and saves based on skill and paired with their own athletic ability to make them the best keeper they can be. Through the course of the winter we will introduce the building blocks of goalkeeping. Proper handling and shape, angle play, distribution, how and when to dive and various save techniques.
The program is for all ages and experience levels so feel free to give it a try.
U13 and up will train on Mondays and U12 and under on Fridays. 8 weeks of training for under $20 a week!
